Jammu, Feb 22 : Light spell of rainafter every week seems to hold winters for some more weeks in the city of temples as such with few sunny days winters was almost over and people was finding it uncomfortable to wear warm heavy woolen clothes.
With the couple of drizzling days again the air has retained moisture in it and people rely on warm wearing and hot eating feeling a whip in the air.
The addition in girls wardrobe with winter collection was almost to be on halt and they were almost trying for other stuff than warm woolen but light showers seems to opt woolen for some more time.
Priyanka Sharma an employee with some insurance company stated that the weather in Jammu is unpredictable these days earlier the foggy weather has dropped the mercury so down that it was difficult to sit in office and go to schools and colleges for students' than sudden rise in temperature declared almost winters off and it became uneasy to wear blazers and jackets and wrap with woolen clothes. We were presuming that winters has been shrunken for just three months that is November, December and January but repeated rain showers has make the air cool again and extended winters upto February and if remain same trend for rainshowers than we can expect winter to wrap up by end of March", said Priyanka.
In city markets many a shops exhibit sales of winter wears like bellies and woolen clothes finding the season almost off but again winter season seems to be extend more some more time as the mercury has dropped little down again. Again couple of previous days remained a delightful weather for early risers.
Early risers and morning walkers are enjoying their exercise more than their routine walk while early risers are finding the morning scene more beautiful after rain showers. Light showers added a freshness and reviving energy in air that delights the mind, body and soul and makes mood for the day.
Purvinder Singh a morning walker who every morning dot in Jammu University for refreshing himself in cool and green campus expressed that though for him campus is the best place for morning walk but he enjoys more when there is a shower. "passing though green shady trees with cool moist breeze touching the face refreshes you boosting your energy many a times" added Purvinder.
The cool weather with repeated spells of light showers after every few days seems to be delight residence of city of temples for some more days extending winters a little more. |
