| Several organizations resent against Govt for denying entry to Togadia | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 22: Several organizations on Friday castigated against the decision of state government for forcibly sending back Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) Parveen Togadia to Delhi from Jammu Airport. Addressing the media persons, State president of VHP Rama Kant Dubey strongly lambasted the state government for undemocratic decision. "Parveen Togadia had to come in Jammu to participate in some Pooja prgrammes, but despite giving permission for his stay in Jammu the government denied him permission, which is shame on part of government" Dubey rued, adding that it was also very unfortunate that government stopped Togadia to enter Jammu, without any prior notice. He further said that the undemocratic step taken by state government has deeply hurted the sentiments of VHP's supporters. Similarly, state president of Shri Ram Sena (SRS) Rajiv Mahajan termed the act of state government as murder of democracy, which didn't permit a nationalist leader to exercise his fundamental right. "The banning of entry of the nationalist leader like Parveen Togadia in Jammu on the pretext that his visit would vitiate the law and order situation, is only a step to appease some anti-national and separatist elements" he opined. Meanwhile, Bajrang Dal activists staged a protest demonstration against state government at Rehari Colony. Dozens of Dal supporters assembled at Rehari Colony on Friday morning burnt effigy of state government, amid raising slogans. They criticized state government and termed the incident as anti-people. They also said that the imposition of ban on Parveen Togadia's entry in Jammu was nothing more than imposing curbs on a particular community to express and share their views with the national leader. They demanded creation of separate Jammu state to resolve the issues once for all. |
