Drabshallah, Kishtwar Feb 22: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Inderwal G M Saroori advocated the engagement of local unemployed youths of district Kishtwar in upcoming power projects to be constructed in Chenab valley including Rattle, Bursar, Pakaldool, Karthai and Keru. Saroori also demanded free electricity to the people living in the areas where the projects will be constructed. He said the managements of these power projects had already been agreed to absorb local youth on 80 per cent posts.
Addressing public gatherings at Drabshalla, Keshwan, Sirgwar, Mang-thala, Shana & Feller, Saroori said that the people of erstwhile Doda were given special attention and government's development programme would definitely transform the socio-economic status of the people living in remote areas of the district.
He said that measures have been initiated to ensure that every family, living below poverty line, could get a shelter under IAY and un-electrified villages will get electricity under RAMSA. Saroori distributed Rs 35.20 lakhs worth cheques among beneficiaries of BRGF & IAY at Drabshallah & Rs.2.50 lakhs for the dairy farm at Thakrie.
