| Daylong workshop on free water testing organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
basohli, (Kathua) Feb 22: Communication and Capacity Development (CCD) unit in association with 'Wemtep' organized a day long workshop on free water testing in Basohli with an aim to aware and inform the people about the contamination of drinking water and its ill effects on health.
MLA Basohli Jagdish Raj Sapolia, BMO Basholi, Tehsildar Jeevan Lal and other dignitaries from Basohli were present in the inaugural ceremony of the workshop.
Project Coordinator of CCD Suhail apprised that the four blocks have been identified to conduct the water testing programme in district Kathua viz. Basohli, Hiranagar, Billawar and Barnoti for providing the clean and healthy potable water at the door steps of the people.
He also informed that at BDO Block Kathua over 302 water samples have been tested for the usability.
On the occasion a local named Roopa Rani, Rajinder Singh, Babu Ram, Amit Singh and others who also participated in the camp with the water sample collected from their locality water got it tested.
They appreciated the schemes and step by government to impart know how about the water testing. |
