Unite for strengthening the State: Madan Lal
Addresses public meeting at Seri Pandita

JAMMU: Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency Madan Lal Sharma cautioned the people against the forces who create differences between the people of various communities on the name of region and religion.
Member Parliament said this while addressing a public meeting at Seri Pandita in Bhalwal block here today.
Madan Lal Sharma asked the people of the State to be united for strengthening the State. He appealed the people to strengthen the hands of coalition government in state as well as in Centre adding that the UPA Government headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is providing liberal funding to the State so that various projects taken up in the State are completed in stipulated time frame.He appealed the people to take benefit from various centrally sponsored schemes like IAY, PMGSY, NREGA, etc and said that the youth should take advantage of various employment generation schemes being launched by State and central government.
Sarpanch Shre Kerni highlighted the problems being faced by local people and hoped for their early redressal. He presented their demands which mainly include commissioning of tube-well in Seri Pandita, construction of road from Seri to Dhar Dlochan, upgradation of transformer having existing capacity of 25 KVA to 63 KVA in Dhar Dlochan, supply of safe drinking water in the area, uninterrupted power supply, renovation of pond in Seri Pandita, and various other demands.
Responding to their demands, the Member Parliament assured that all their genuine demands would be redressed at the earliest. He gave instruction to PHE Department to gear up their men and machinery so that the construction work on tube well could be started soon. He also directed the PMGSY authorities to ensure early completion of various roads being taken up by the department.
Assistant Commissioner Development K. K. Sidha, BDO Bhalwal Aijaz Quiser, Engineers of PHE, PMGSY and other concerned department were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion Mr. Sharma announces Rs. 15 lacs for the construction of Community Hall at the said Panchayat out of his constituency fund. Prominent among present included Shri Satpaul Ji, Raj Dev Singh, Uttam Chib, Dr. Karan Bhagat, Vijay, Skinder and others.
