| BSP condemns government over low compensation | | | Jammu: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today condemned government for paying low compensation to the poor people of the areas particularly between Nagrota and Manthal, whose land falling under four lanes Jammu- Sringar Highway. According to press release, a meeting of party leader was held at Manthal, Speaking on the occasion State General Secretary of the party Rakesh Wazir coming down on the state government condemned the low compensation paid to the poor people of the areas particularly between Nagrota and Manthal. He said that it was ironical that circle land rates fixed by the government itself is between Rs. 4 lakh to 5 lakh and even more per kanal in the areas falling between Nagrota and Manthal and the stamp duty and registration fees comes close to Rs 60 thousand per Kanal if someone have to purchase the land and the compensation per kanal being paid to the poor people is around Rs 70 thousand per kanal which is nothing else except mockery on the name of compensation. Wazir further said that through a conspiracy all the small markets including Nagrota, Nandni, Suketar, Domail, Jhajjar Kotli and Manthal are going to be removed which could have been saved easily by making small adjustments by which the livelihood of thousands of people could have been saved. State Vice President of the party H R Chadgotra besides explaining the policies of the party to the people asked them to equip themselves for the comming elections and teach this government a lesson. |
