Jammu: Aiming to discuss and evolve strategy for united action against state government, which was delaying to concede the long pending demands of employees, the two days long convention of government employees under the banner of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) concluded today at Press Club Jammu. In the convention a discussion was held over the report of six members' joint committee of EJAC and JKSRTCU headed by Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari. The employees unanimously approved the report with the concusses of house for adoption of All India Trade Union pattern, All India State Government Employees Federation by laws, in which the members felt as dire necessity in view of the present trade union scenario which is only way to build pressure on the government through unite action to accept the un filled part of the agreement from time to time. The employees also criticized state government for not implementing the agreement which was between senior leaders of EJAC. They also alleged that due to vested interest government was deliberately adopting delay tactics in its implementation. Those who addressed on the occasion and expressed their views by giving their valueable suggestions for united action included Abdul Qyoom Wani, Fayaz Shabnam, Ganesh Khajuria, Amrik Singh, Khursheed Alam, Kulwant Singh, Jaswant Singh, Mohammad Gafoor Dar, Molvi Mohammad Nazeer, Arun Moza, Nazir Ahmed Mir. At the end of convention a farewell party was accorded to the veteran Trade Union leader and President of JKEJAC(R) Ram Kumar Sharma, on his retirement. During farewell several leaders highlighted the achievement of Ram Kumar Sharma during his long struggle period of 38 years to unite the employees' organizations for the common cause of the employees without compromising the principle ethics. Meanwhile, Ram Kumar Sharma thanked the employees leaders, activists, who has shown curtsy to participate in the occasion and appeals it is the time to unite together for broader unity and united action to achieve the pending demands and also eradicate the evils of corruption, unemployment, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, backwardness and economical and political exploitation, eating the vital of the society. |
