| JAMMU: Minister for Social Welfare, ARI and Trainings, Ms Sakina Ittoo on Thursday expressed her gratitude to the dynamic Chief Minister of J&K State, Omar Abdullah and Minister for Higher Education, Mr Mohammad Akbar Lone for granting approval for launching a new course Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) in Government Degree College Kulgam. Ms Sakina Ittoo said that the Omar led Government is not only committed to develop infrastructure in education sector but also providing job-oriented courses to the youth of the state. He said the government has already taken a number of steps for spread education in every nook and corner of the State especially in far-flung and remote areas, adding a number of schools have already been upgraded besides opening of score of new schools across the State aimed to fulfill the needs of those aspirants, who due to lack of economic conditions could not be able to receive higher education in major cities. Expressing gratitude of Omar led government for initiating such a result oriented course, the Minister said that with the starting of new course (BCA) in Government Degree College (BCA), the aspirants of district Kulgam can be easily benefitted. |
