| Improving life standard of people is govt’s priority: Sagar Lays foundations stone steel Foot Bridge at Nowpora | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Apr 14 : Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar Sunday said the developmental agenda taken in hand by the present government shall be taken to its logical end, adding our efforts are only to improve the life standard of the people of the state. The Minister was addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stone of Hazrat Taj Baba(RA) Steel Foot Bridge at Lone Mohalla Aabi Nowpora Khanyar. He said Rs. 40 lakh would be spent on the execution of this bridge and shall provide better communication facilities to the people of Nowpora, Alamdar Colony, Nai Sadak, Lone Mohalla and other adjacent areas. The Minister directed concerned engineers to ensure completion of the Foot Bridge within one month. He said marriage hall coming up at cost of Rs. 1.20 crore at Lone Mohalla will be dedicated to public within one month. He said the government’s concept of constructing community halls has earned laurels in the public, because of its large scale utility. He said Nowpora and its peripheries were brought on tourist map which would benefit people in improving their socio-economic status. Mr. Sagar said that present government headed by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah believes in public service without taking any propaganda. He said construction of various big projects have been taken in hand which percolates its benefits to the public at large.
