| Agriculture Law Enforcement team raids continued | | | SRINAGAR: Continuing the campaign to check and control sale and distribution of spurious pesticides, fertilizers and seeds among the farming community, a team of officers of Law Enforcement Wing of Agriculture department under the supervision of Director, Law Enforcement J&K Govt., Mr. M.S. Katoo raided various godowns of Pesticides dealers of Srinagar, Pulwama and Shopian districts.
In this connection, a godown of M/S Kashmir Pesticides Court Road Srinagar shifted to Batmaloo mandi was raided where 80 litres of stop Alfamathrine 10% EC of Biostadt India Ltd, 80 kgs 0f SPARSH M-45 (Mancozeb) 75% WP,100 litres of TRIGER of (Hexaconazole 5% EC ) and 116 kgs of CYGNET (Mycobutanil 10% WP) were found without license. A huge quantity of 200 kgs of BLUE DOT, 5 ½ kgs of SPOTLESS and 04 kgs of APEEL of a manufacturing company
namely Acme Organic Pvt Ltd and marketed byMahindra and Mahindra Ltd Agri Business, B.R. Agrotech Ltd and marketing by Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd Agri Business, B.R. Agro Tech Ltd and Marketed by Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd Agri Business respectively were put on sale stop which has been illegally imported by the said company into the valley without registration of licensing authority.
The Enforcement Agency has been put on alert to keep a close vigil on distribution of various products marketed by Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd .
The team also put on sale stop 960 litres of FLASH (quinalphos 25% EC) from Shakeel Ahmad Mir R/o Maldoora Shopian of Kashmir Farmers Agriculture, Horticulture Cooperative Marketing Ltd Shopian and 60 kgs of Cabriotop from Pulwama Farmers Fertilizer/Pesticide Marketing Corp Ltd Pulwama Kashmir where also put on sale stop from the concerned which were found without licenses and in contravention of Insecticide Act 1968.
Such inspections and raids will continue in coming days in other districts of Kashmir Valley also and licensed dealers are advised to put on sale only registered licensed products. |
