POONCH: To review decentralization of powers to grassroots level, Dr Shehnaz Ganai, today convened a meeting of sectoral officers of 14 departments, Sarpanchs and Panchs at Mandi block in district Poonch.
The MLC said that Government is committed to create a conducive atmosphere in which Panchayats can utilize their powers effectively for better results.
She said that the state government is striving hard to strengthen these basic institutions by way of infrastructure development, capacity building, remunerations, supporting staffing etc. |
