Renewed confidence of youth augurs well for state: Mir

narbal, May 8: Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir Wednesday said that the confidence level of our younger generation is showing upward trend in every passing day which augurs well for the state.
The Minister said this while addressing a mammoth public gathering at Narbal this afternoon.
Senior leaders, Dr. S. Safdar, Farooq Jan, Hilal Pervaze, Muzafar Ahmad Reshi, and Masrat Qadari also spoke on the occasion.
The Minister said “the ground reality shows that that the youth of valley have now developed the tendency to prove their potential in every field for the betterment of the society and nation and it shall be source of inspiration for coming generations”.
Congratulating the recent successful aspirants of IAS of J&K state, Mr. Mir said the increasing trend for qualifying of country’s prestigious examination (IAS) by J&K candidates during last three years is an eye opener for all of us, which shows that our youth has enormous potential to achieve every goal, if they would be provided platform, conducive atmosphere and an opportunity. He asked the youth, ‘the world is full of opportunities and these opportunities grab only those who have dedication and conviction’.
Appealing the student community to work hard for accomplishing quality education, Mr Mir said education is the basic pillar for sustained socio economic development of the state. He called upon the youth not to choose only one field but make their presence felt in every area and sector in which the J&K youth particularly Kashmiri youth can contribute for the betterment of society and nation.
The Minister said that coalition government during last four years have taken innumerable steps for providing quality education for the youth of the state at their doorsteps. He said in this direction new schools, Degree colleges, universities and technical institutions have been setup across the state to provide adequate infrastructure and trained faculty members. “These steps have become guiding force for the students particularly the students of far off areas to participate in competitive exams for better future”, he maintained
Referring the local demands of the people, the Minister said that government is making every effort to redress the basic needs of different areas for which ambitious projects have been launched by the government and hoped after the completion of these projects, the people would be benefited. He said that in agriculture and its allied sectors numerous farmer friendly schemes have been launched, which has strengthened the socio economic status of the community. He said irrigation facilities for the farmers could be sorted out soon and assured the youth to upgrade the sports ground of the area.
