Gandhinagar, May 10 : Gujarat CM Narendra Modi will be addressing the Indian diaspora in the United States of America on May 12 (Monday morning in India) through satellite. The event is being organised as part of Gujarat Day Celebration 2013. “Though the event is being organised by Gujarati Indian Samuday of North America , Indian American organisations of other states like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Bihar would also be attending,” said the sources.
The main event will be held in two cities — New Jersey and Chicago— while 18 other cities of North America will be hosting smaller events. “This year, 2,000 – 3,000 people are expected to attend the function in each city. The CM will be delivering a speech on his vision of good governance,” said sources. |
