SRINAGAR: Minister for CA&PD and Transport Ch. Mohammad Ramzan who is on 3 days tour to his constituency today conducted an Awami Darbar at Dak-Bungalow, Handwara. During the Darbar, the Minister gave patient hearing to the demands and problems highlighted by the people with regard to drinking water, power, road connectivity, transport, healthcare and other day to day issues. Mr Ramzan assured the people that their genuine demands and issues raised in the Awami Darbar will be resolved in phased manner. For this purpose, the District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Mr. Itrat Hussain Rafique who was also present in the Darbar was asked to take a meeting with the concerned agencies to discuss the issues raised during the Darbar. The Minister said that bye pass road Handwara is being completed at a cost of Rs. 9.82 crore and so far Rs. 92 lakh have been utilized on the project. He informed that 5 Sub Centres are being sanctioned for Handwara Constituency. On the occasion, people also demanded restoration of SRTC bus services for Kupwara, Handwara and Machil. The Minister was informed that for providing diagnostic facility to the poor people of the area, Rs 6 lakh has been released to Sub District Hospital under BADP. |
