BANDIPORA: The Vice Chairman State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjar and Bakerwal, Choudhary Bashir Naaz inaugurated Gujjar Bakerwal boy’s hostel in rented building at Onagam, Bandipora today. MLA, Bandipora, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat, DDC Bandipora M. Y. Zargar, Ex- MLA, Mir Ghulam Rasool Naaz besides members of the board, official cum Government functionaries and parents were present on the occasion. Addressing to the gathering, the Vice Chairman announced that a girl’s hostel would also be established in the district soon. He directed the DDC to fencthe land acquired for construction of boys hostel by the administration at Malangam, Bandipora. The Vice Chairman said that in order to take the mission of Mather-e-Meharban for upliftment of Gujjar-Bakerwal community forward, the present Government by virtue of the strenuous efforts of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has taken up effective measures which include enhancement of scholarships, quality education and also giving prizes to efficient students. He asked the teachers to also educate the students about moral values and make their future bright. MLA, on the occasion said that 52 habitations of Gujjar and Bakerwal have been provided power facility under RGGY in the Bandipora. He also demanded for mobile critical van, water tanker and some other facilities for such remote villages so that there difficulties are minimized. EX-MLA and DDC Bandipora besides members of the board also spoke on the occasion. |
