SRINAGAR: Mr. G. R. Sufi, State Chief Information Commissioner, called on Mr. N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today.
During the meeting, the State Chief Information Commissioner briefed the Governor about the experience and broad outcome of the State Information Commission’s functioning in the past three years. He also briefed the Governor about the continuing initiatives being taken by him and Members of SIC for enhancing awareness among the people at large about their rights and privileges under the State Right to Information Act 2009.
The Governor observed that the effective implementation of this important Law would contribute to reducing corruption and significantly furthering the interests of good governance. |
