UDHAMPUR: MLA, Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia, convened a meeting of governing body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti at District Hospital complex, Udhampur here on Friday. The issues discussed in the meeting included new initiatives and programmes for the benefit of patients under health department, shifting of power receiving station, waiting hall for patient and attendants, upgradation of new OPD services, laboratory, blood bank, CT Scan, Ultrasound, operation theaters, emergency, installation of digital x-ray machine beside procurements of consumable, improvement of registration section and indoor complex of the hospital. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA, who is also the chairman of Rogi Kalyan Samiti, Udhampur exhorted upon the hospital administration to provide quality medicare to the patients. He called upon the engineers of R&B department to accelerate the tempo of construction work on Trauma Centre Level-II so that its timely completion is ensured. Mankotia stressed upon the need for creating maximum awareness among the common masses about the programmes of the department so that the deserving could avail maximum benefit under the schemes. Superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Chander Parkash, gave a detailed account of ongoing works and new initiatives of the district hospital administration. Later, the MLA accompanied by the members of RKS had a round of different sections and wards of the hospital to take stock of facilities being extended to the patients. Among others, Chief Medical Officer, Anil Amla, officer of PWD, PHE and PDD, ICDS, Municipality and NGOs attended the meeting. |
