KATHUA: In order to ensure proper functioning of Panchayati Raj Act and empowerment of Panchayati Raj Institution, ADDC Kathua, Ajay Singh Jamwal, convened a meeting with Block Level Officers, Sarpanches and Panchs of Block Bani & Duggan in Bani. During the meeting, the ADDC directed block level officers to ensure that Sarpanches and Panches are involved and consulted in planning and implementation of government schemes in rural and far flung areas. The ADDC also inspected development works being executed by Rural Development Department, Irrigation Deptt, PWD and PMGSY in Bani and Duggan blocks. He impressed upon all the concerned officers to strictly maintain the quality of works besides ensuring timely completion of the same especially Bani to Duggan road under PMGSY and repairing of a irrigation Kool damaged due to construction of road. |
