Jammu, June 3 : Health and Sanitation wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) under the supervision of Health Officer Dr Vinod Sharma and overall supervision Commissioner JMC K L Khajuria seized 49 kgs of polythene and realised an amount of Rs 21400 as fine from the defaulters. In a statement a spokesperson of the JMC said, "In view of the ensuing rainy season and to control the mosquitoes breeding the program of thermal fogging chalk out and started from May1 to May 30 covering all the municipal wards to give relief to the citizens from the mosquitoes. During May, 49 kgs of polythene was also seized and amount of Rs 21400 was recovered as fine from the defaulters." "The JMC organized first health awareness and medical Check up camps for safaikaramcharies at Jambu Lochan on May 17. Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pardeep Gupta was Chief Guest who inaugurated the camp. More than 367 patients came for check-up. The facilities provided included free ECG, blood test s, and free medicines to the patients," he added. |
