Dalmiya wants no cheerleaders and strategic timeouts in IPL
6/3/2013 11:04:01 PM

NEW DELHI: Jagmohan Dalmiya began his job after becoming the head of BCCI's working group as he wanted no cheerleaders and strategic timeouts during IPL matches, Times Now reported.
Jagmohan Dalmiya on Monday said that former BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale has said that he will not withdraw his resignation.
"We are waiting for former BCCI treasurer Mr Ajay Shirke to respond," Dalmiya added.
"I will leave no stone unturned to clean up cricket. I was given a responsibility, and I thought I could not shy away," said Dalmiya.
"I may or may not represent BCCI in the ICC meetings and if there is a vacancy in the BCCI, it will be filled up," Dalmiya further said.
"Owners will be held accountable if the players indulge in illegal activities in IPL," said Dalmiya while addressing a news conference at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Dalmiya also wanted to end after-match IPL parties and players to be accompanied by security officials to discourage bookies.
