SRINAGAR, June 12: The Government would ensure filling up all the vacant post of medicos and Para-medicos in the Health institutions of Dooru Constituency in a short span of time for convenience of the people of the area. The assurance in this regard was given by the Minister of State for health, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan today during his meeting with Minister for Tourism, Mr. Ghulam Ahmad Mir today. During the meeting the Ministers discussed several issues related to improvement and upgradation of health care facilities in Dooru Constituency. It was decided that shortage of staff like X-ray technicians and other Para-medicos in Sub-District Hospital, Dooru would be filled up at the earliest besides requisite diagnostic equipments and health infrastructure in remote and hilly areas of the Constituency would be upgraded on priority. The Tourism Minister underscored the need of establishment of Health Centers in far off and hilly areas of the tehsil. He also apprised the Health Minister about the several deficiencies of staff in the health institutions and stressed for time bound completion of ongoing health projects. The Health Minister assured the Tourism Minister that necessary initiatives would be taken to fulfill all deficiencies in the health institutions of the Tehsil, as upgradation of health care facilities in rural and hilly areas was the priority of the Government. Earlier a deputation from Dooru led by Chairman, Trade and Commerce, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Khan called on Tourism Minister and put forth several demands related to overall development of the tehsil. The deputationists pleaded for posting of X-ray technician in SDH Dooru, functioning of Tehsil Information Center, upgradation and improvement in drinking water and road connectivity, installing of Street lights and additional fire service Vehicle. |
