People asked to restrict consumption in view of Salal shut down on 15, 16 June 6/14/2013 11:16:08 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, June 14 : There will be complete shutdown of 690 MVA Salal Power House for 24 hours from 8 am on 15-06-2013 to 8 am on 16-06-2013 for flushing out silt. As such, there may be shortfall in availability of power supply in Jammu region. However, efforts shall be made to compensate this short fall from Northern Grid through 400/220 KV Grid Station at Kishenpur of PGCIL but due to capacity constraints at Grid Station Kishenpur some rotational curtailment may be imposed in parts of Jammu Province. Therefore, people are requested to restrict their consumption during these 24 hours, so that the un-desired curtailment can be avoided.
