| HRA, Katra donates Rs 1.62 lakh for Uttarakhand disaster | | | KATRA, July 7: Hotel & Restaurant Association (HRA), Katra has donated Rs 1.62 lakh as a relief for the state of Uttrakhand which witnessed devastating rains and flash floods. In a well attended function organized at "The Vaishnodevi IRCTC Guest House" main Railway Station building Katra in connection with handing over the collected amount received from the members, the president of the association Shyam Lal Kesar presented drafts and cheques worth Rs 1,62,750 to District Development Commissioner Reasi, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Reasi thanked the association for making efforts for raising the amount for this noble cause and asked the people for coming forward in helping the people for these types of calamites.
The others who were present on the occasion include presence of CEO, Katra Development Authority Sudershan Kumar, Asstt. Commissioner Reasi Nawab Din, Tehsildar Settlement Reasi, AEN Railways, State Gen. Sec. BSP and Sr. Vice President of the Association Rakesh Wazir , President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma , Sr. Congress Leader Sardari Lal Dubey and Virender Kesar. |
