| Feroz for inculcating scientific temper among students | | | KARGIL, July 7: Minister of State for Science and Technology Feroz Ahmad Khan today inaugurated Science Mela at Akchamal Kargil. The Mela was organized by Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with Higher Secondary School Akchamal in which students of Various High and Higher Secondary School participated.
On this occasion, Mr. Faroz Khah said that such programmes are important exploiting the hidden talent of the school students. He said these programmes will help in shaping the future of students and develop scientific temper among them. He said that there is abundant talent in students and if they a suitable platform is provided to them to express their views under congenial environment they will excel in all fields of life. Feroz directed the authorities to organize such functions at district level also so that students from all over Kargil can participate and can showcase their talents and compete for state level events.
The Minister assured to construct an Indoor Stadium at Akchamal and directed the concerned authorities to prepare the Project for the same. The Model Higher Secondary School Akchamal was adjusted first, Boys Higher Secondary School Kargil got Second and High School Poyen got third positions. On this occasion debate and quiz competition on topic “Importance of Science and Technology in modern day” was also held. Later the Minister distributed prizes amongst the students for their excellent performance. On this occasion Headquarter Assistant to Deputy Commissioner Abdul Gaffar Zargar, Principal Higher Secondary School Akchamal Mohammad Ali Bhutto and lecturers, teachers, and other prominent citizens of the area were also present. |
