| Several deputations called on Mubarak Gul, apprises people’s problems | | | SRINAGAR: The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Mubarak Gul has said that the Government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to provide basic amenities to the people of the State. He said huge developmental programmes under various sectors are apace in the State with the aim to upgrade the living standards of the people.
The Speaker was interacting with the various deputations coming across the valley who called him at his official residence this morning.
These deputations put forth their individual and collective problems includes construction of lanes, drains, protection bands, culverts, replacement of damaged transformers , issuance of timber on concessional rates and opening and up gradation of schools.
Mr. Gul gave them a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. In some cases, the Speaker gave on-the spot directions to the concerned for early redressal.
The Speaker said that Government is aware about the people’s problems but need is to project the developmental demands so that Detailed Project Reports to be framed and submitted to the concerned quarter to accord necessary sanction. |
