| Six shifted to GMC Jammu; Police, 26 RR hailed for timely rescue | | 13 Injured in tragic road accident at Gundoh | | Early Times Report
DODA, Aug 7: At least thirteen persons sustained injuries when a Sumo met in which they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge near Gowari village on Thatri -Gandoh road approximately 85 kms from main town of Doda.
Ill fated vehicle bearing registration No JK06-2248, was on its way from Gandoh to Gowari when the mishap occurred at Shalda Workshop near Gandoh after the driver lost his control over the vehicle.
As soon as the news of accident reach Gandoh, police and 26 RR Jawans along with officials evacuated occupants of the vehicle and rushed them to nearby Sub District Hospital (SDH) Gundoh where from seven passengers have been shifted to GMC Jammu for road while six critically injured were airlifted for specialized treatment at Govt Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for treatment.
The injured have been identified namely as Abid Hussain S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Kako ,Mahash Kumar S/o mool Raj R/o Buddi ,Mubeena Begum W/o shaha Mohd r/o shoti, Little Baby of Mubeena Begum, Mohd Asif S/o Manzoor Ahmed R/o Bhargi , Gayana Begum W/o Ghulam Hussain R/o Khetal,Mohd Ishtaq S/o Shah Mohd R/o Neeli, Tariq Hussain S/o Ghulam Hussain R/o Karthi ,Muneer Ahmed s/o Ghulam Hussain R/o Pacher, Wasima Akthar D/o Akthar Hussain R/o Pacher, Tahera Begum W/o Furkan Ahmed R/o Bhargi, little Babby of Tahera Begum and Shah Mohd S/o Bashir Ahmed. |
