Abid guides Ahad Sultan to outright win

SRINAGAR, Aug 22: First class cricketer, Abid Nabi today scripted an absolute 10 wickets win for Ahad Sultan against Trumboo Panthers in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL) at School Ground, Bijbihara.
Earlier, Abid bowled tight spell taking away two wickets and later played unbeaten knock of 87 runs to make it an outright victory for the team.
Batting first, Trumboo Panthers set a target of 135 runs for the loss of seven wickets, which, in reply, Ahad Sultans chased in just 13.3 overs with all wickets intact.
Imtiaz remained top scorer with 24-ball 45 runs while Zahid Dar contributed 20 runs. From Ahad Sultan, Abid Nabi and Asif shared two wickets each.
Later, Ahad Sultan hardly faced any difficulty in attaining the goal and in the process hit the opponent bowlers hard to reach the goal in mere 13.3 overs. While Abid Nabi made 53-ball 87 runs with the help of eight boundaries and five sixes, Ulfat made 33-ball 40 runs, including four boundaries.
For his all round performance, Abid Nabi was obvious choice for the man of the match award. He was also given away the prize for hitting maximum sixes.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Kehwa Kings registered a fine seven wickets win over Khazir Royals. Batting first, after winning the toss, Khazir Royals made 141 runs for eight wickets.
Aslam, Manzoor Gattu and Jehanghir were main scorers with 28, 23 and 22 runs in their respective accounts. From Kehwah Kings, Ashraf was most successful bowler with three wickets, followed by Adil Rishi, who took two.
In reply, Kehwah Kings attained the goal making 145 runs losing just three wickets in 18.4 overs. Adil Rishi played captains knock hitting unbeaten 57 (off 47 balls, 3x4, 2x6) runs. Arshid Khwaja also batted well with 35-ball 55 runs including seven boundaries and two sixes.
Pradeep Bali contributed 21 runs to the total. Sammiullah clinchéd two wickets from Khazir Royals, while Arshid Sheikh bagged one. For his match winning all-round innings, Adil Rishi was declared man of the match.
