| Cong leader for due compensation to rain affected in Kalakote | | | Et Report
Jammu, Aug 22: Expressing solidarity with the people affected due to recent heavy rains in Kalakote, Senior Congress leader Engineer Abdul Gani Kohli, today has demanded state government for adequate compensation to the people of Kalakote who are suffering from rain havoc. Er Kohli who conducted an extensive tour of Kalakote constituency including Treru area where land slide has caused maximum damage and created a lake resulting to unwanted danger to the people living in low lying areas of locality. A series of deputations of locals called on the visiting Congress leader and apprised him about their problems including road connectivity to Kajwas area which also got blocked. Er Kohli also met with Revenue Officers of district Rajouri including DC, Tehsildhar who had taken serious note of the block that faced worst of natural calamity and accordingly assured their due help to rain affected people. Meanwhile locals anchoring hopes for a better day expressed their gratitude to Minister of State for Revenue Aijaz khan who directed revenue authority to take remedial measure. Er Kohli also has demanded restoration of electricity Gran and Phaphra and others areas of Kalakote. Pertinently, heavy rains have created havoc in Kalakote constituency and its adjoining areas adding miseries of the people. |
