Jammu, Aug 23: Police today apprehended a burglar and recovered stolen cash amounting to Rs 3, 15, 360/- alongwith safe box which was stolen from industrial unit at SICOP, Bari-Brahmna. The accused has been identified namely as Janak Raj S/o Inder Ram R/o Chua Chak, Bishnah, police said. Police said that a team headed by Inspector Arun Jamwal, SHO P/S Bari-Brahmna under the direct supervision of Israr Khan, SSP Samba and S.M. Jangral, Dy SP, SDPO Bari-Brahmna investigating the case apprehended the accused involved in a theft case FIR No 71/2013 U/S 457/380 RPC Police Station Bari-Brahmna. "On his disclosure police team recovered stolen property i.e. cash Rs. 3,15,360/- alongwith safe which was stolen during the intervening night of August 09/10 from M/s BK Chandra Shekhar factory, 52/B, Birpur Complex, SICOP, Bari-Brahmna," police added. Police also added that some locals of Chua Chak, Bishnah noticed accused Janak Raj while he was breaking the safe in the cremation ground of Chau Chak and they informed the Police. "On this, Police raided and apprehended the accused person and also recovered the stolen property, police added.
