9/23/2013 10:20:12 PM
Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 23: State vice president of BJP G M Mir has strongly criticized the arrest and 'brutal torture' of party leader of youth wing in Srinagar by police.
In a statement while condemning the 'inhuman' act of policemen including the officials posted in Kothi Bagh Police Station, Mir demanded the immediate action against the culprits. He warned that if action was not taken against the culprits, State BJP will go to the State Human Rights Commission and the Court to seek justice.
He said BJP activists were peacefully protesting and demanding medical facilities for people affected due to the strikes and curfew imposed in south Kashmir "but police detained the peacefully protesting BJYM activists and took them to Kothi Baag Police Station where they were brutally beaten by the cricket bats and were abused."
