| JTC seeks creation of colonies for KPs in 3 distts of Kashmir | | | Jammu, Sept 23: Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front has appealed Union Home Secretary to direct state government to constitute a new committee of prominent representatives of Kashmiri Pandit Migrant Community. According to press release, a meeting of JTC was held here under the leadership of president, Shadi Lal Pandita and it appealed govt to raise colonies for KPs in Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla districts to rehabilitate them permanently. He also demanded a compensation of Rs. 50 lakh for each migrant family. It has been alleged that community has no faith over the present/existing Apex Committee.' Speaking on the occasion Pandita said that various members of Apex Committee who were well settled, were neither interested in their return to Kashmir valley nor have been representing the community in right direction. He appealed the government for constituting a fresh committee represented by prominent representatives of the Kashmir Migrant Community from Migrant camps and non camps at Jammu. |
