Jammu, Sept 27 : The deplorable condition of lane connecting Pawan Ice Cream to Circuit House, speaks the volumes of criminal negligence on part of Road and Building department, which has virtually turned a Nelson eye toward roads of capital city.
One can easily imagine the fate of common man when R&B department is least bothered about the lane which is just stone throwing distance from residence of deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand. "Pits have been created in the lane, while near Pawan Ice cream, road was dug up by reconstruction agencies for laying of sewerage pipes, but for the last one year the road is in shambles and none take care of it", a shopkeeper rued.
He further said that majority of roads in heart of Jammu city were in shambles, including Jewel to Canal road, near Gummat beside other areas but concerned agencies have turned a deaf ear to the problem.
After few days, the annual darwar will be shifted to Jammu and R&B department will give a facelift to Jammu roads, but it univocally pointed towards the fact that these agencies are not for government representatives and not for common man, another shopkeeper castigated. |
