Kishtwar, Sept 27 : In yet another incident of tragic road accident on Kishtwar-Jammu National Highway, two persons died when a private vehicle Tata Sumo bearing Regn No JK17-0873 met with an accident near Karara Police Post of Doda district at 6.30 a.m.
As per details, the ill fated vehicle was coming from Jammu and was going to Kishtwar when the driver of the vehicle lost his control over vehicle as a result of which it fell into river Chenab.
Out of two occupants of the vehicle the dead body of Chuni Lal, son of Naib Chand resident of Shateyan Gwari of Paddar area of Kishtwar was fished out by Jawans of 8 Rashtriya Rifle.
Other passenger on board was identified as Gian Chand son of Mangat Ram resident of Kandni Kishtwar is feared drowned in strong water currents of Chenab river.
However his dead boy is yet to be found. The vehicle which was submerged in the Chenab was brought out by Jawans of 8 Rashtriya Rifles but the body of Gian Chand couldn't be located in the said vehicle.
This was seventh such traffic accident on the same road stretch in last one year. |
