Dr Bhagwat was received by top RSS functionaries and leaders of various social organizations linked to Sangh at Jammu Airport. The RSS chief soon after his arrival will hold talks with top Sangh leaders of the State, office bearers of various social and religious organisations and political leaders and have a feed back on prevailing political and law and order situation in border State which is grappling with terrorism for last past quarter century. The RSS chief will have a hectic schedule tomorrow as besides the RSS leaders, he will be meeting with the office bearers of over dozen social, religious and political organizations and discuss the prevailing poltical and law and order situation with them in the State. The RSS chief will address a public rally at Parade ground on September 29 evening. Besides the Swayamsevaks the people from all walks of life are likely to attend the meeting. Though the visit of RSS chief was scheduled already but political analysts attach much importance to it in view of recent Kishtwar violence and Fidayeen attack at Hiranagar and Samba yesterday in which 10 people including four army men, four police personnel and two civilians were killed. Sources said the RSS chief will be briefed fully by the Sangh leaders about the prevailing political situation in J&K and the role of present coalition Government will also come under discussion. The State VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders will specially discuss the deteriorating law and order situation with Mr Bhagwat and apprise him that the militancy has got a lease of life in the State due to wrong policies of both UPA Government at Centre and coalition in the State. They will discuss the security lapses with RSS chief which were responsible for yesterday's Fidayeen attack and turn his attention towards the oft repeated demand by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah regarding revocation of AFSPA and disbanding of VDCs. They will also suggest constitution of more VDCs especially in border belt to contain the infiltration of terrorists from across the border. |
