Jammu, Sept 27: J&K Peoples Democratic Trade Union (PDTU) District President, Jasmeet Singh Madaan has hailed the announcement of constitution of 7th Pay Commission, albeit late, by the Union Government and demanded that the members of the Pay Commission be nominated so that the working of the Commission starts in the true sense. Addressing the PDTU members, Jasmeet said the decision although came a little bit late yet it is the right step in the interests of employees. He demanded that its members should be nominated immediately 'otherwise it will be considered as a mere election gimmick to appease the employees' community.'
Jasmeet also demanded the immediate release of the pending DA instalment of 10 percent before the ensuing festival season in favour of employees and pensioners. |
