Kishtwar observes Bandh over twin terror attack in Jammu region

Kishtwar, Sept 27: Like in other in parts of Jammu province, BJP and various other non political organizations observed Bandh in response to the Jammu Bandh call from various political and non political parties including Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in Kishtwar, Doda, Bhaderwah, Ramban and other areas of erstwhile Doda district against the twin terror attack in Kathua and Samba on Thursday killing 13 persons including Lt Colonel.
There was no report of any untoward incident was reported from any part of the region barring stray incident of police action in Bhaderwah town of Doda when police and BJP activist trying to burn symbolic effigy of Pakistan clashed together.
BJP leader Koshal Kumar said that BJP activist are peacefully holding a memorial service at Seri Bazar Bhaderwah to pay homage to those who lost lives in Sept 26 terror attack. He alleged a police contingent appeared on the scene tried to snatch the symbolic effigy of Pakistan from the party workers and the action was resisted by the party workers. "Agitated over this the police used the force to disperse the protestors," he alleged and said that some senior party workers got injured in the melee.
He said that BJP activists later held protest raising slogans against SHO Bhaderwah demanding action against him. He also said that the party workers in a bid to give vent to their ire against Pakistan later prepared another effigy and burnt the same to register their protest against government failure in tackling the terrorism.
He said that Omar Abdullah led Congress-NC government is soft towards anti nationalist forces but harasses the nationalist forces. He said a party delegation also called on Additional SP Bhaderwah and demanded an FIR against SHO Bhaderwah.
