NC led regime has nothing to show in name of its five year achievement: Mufti
Large number of youth from Basohli join PDP

Jammu, Dec 3: Exhorting party workers to expose failures of the National Conference (NC) led coalition regime among the masses, patron of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today said that five years performance of the state government was a big zero and this regime has nothing to exhibit in the name of its achievements. Addressing a function to welcome a number of youth from Basohli area who joined PDP under the leadership of Kamal Kishore here today, Mufti said that performance of the state government appeared only on the papers.
"During the last five years this regime has done nothing to solve problems of the people", he said, adding, "Not even a single achievement goes to the credit of this government during its five year tenure". Mufti observed that in its tenure this regime has systematically bulldozed democratic institutions and legalized corruption.
He mentioned that failure of the coalition regime to empower Panchayats and its delay tactics in deferring Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) elections was an example how this regime has dismantled democratic institutions. Calling upon the new entrants to strengthen the party by spreading agenda of the party, Mufti said that change was order of the day and people of State were looking towards PDP to change the present corrupt system. "It is my desire to establish a system where every sections of the society would get justice and equal opportunities for development and economic growth", he said and added that the agenda of the PDP was formulated by accommodating wishes and aspirations of all regions and sub-regions of the State. He said that PDP during its tenure had carved out a path of peace and development in the State by treating all regions and sub-region equally. Mufti recalled that during PDP led regime especial attention was paid towards neglected and remotest areas like Bani and Basholi.
He reminded the gathering that tourist circuit to connect Basohli with rest of the country was set up. He also demanded that work on the Bani-Basohli-Sarthal-Bhaderwah road should be expedited.
Sayed Asgar Ali, MLC, Mehboob Iqbal, Gurparshad, Surinder Singh, Farooq Ahmed, Kamal Kishore, Javed Ahmed, Joginder Singh, Inder Singh, Sarpanch, Jia Lal, Vijay Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Sham Lal, Mushtaq Ahmed, Vinod Gupta, Haji Amin, Mohamamd Latif, Mehr Singh, Madan Singh, Mubarak Ali, Bashir Ahmed, Mohammad Salim, Mohammad Azam and others also spoke on the occasion.
