| Farooq Abdullah comfortable with NDA: Beigh | | BOPEE scam not unearthed by Govt | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Dec 3 : Describing Syed Ali Shah Geelani as the tallest leader in political sphere of Jammu and Kashmir, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior leader of Peoples Democratic Party Muzafar Hussain Beigh today said that all the Commissions and Committees to probe the killings and other matters related to corruption are fixed and these Commissions have lost credibility in Kashmir. "Geelani is not a dream merchant but a tallest political figure whom people love more than Omar Abdullah and others. "No doubt, we have political differences with Syed Ali Geelani but we admit this fact that he commands more respect among people than our Chief Minister," Beigh told Srinagar based news agency CNS adding that PDP respects the sentiments of people. While replying to a question, Muzafar Hussain Beigh said that Dr Farooq Abdullah always feels comfortable with BJP led NDA. "Omar Abdullah has personal friendship with Congress party and on this basis Omar could not hug NDA. Omar will certainly feel humiliated if he joins NDA but one thing is sure his father Dr Farooq Abdullah has no problem with NDA," he said. Criticizing National Conference for taking credit of unearthing BOPEE CET paper leak and selling scam, Beigh said that Crime Branch acted under the orders and directions of High Court. "Government has no role in unearthing this scam. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is trying to befool people by claim that his government exposed the guilty involved in BOPEE scam," he said. Beigh said that this government especially National Conference has become habitual of taking credit of everything which is not its brain child. "Omar dismantled the plaque erected during PDP rule on Mughal Road and erected a plaque by his own name. Congress party leaders even erased my name that was inscribed in some of the plaques outside many Buildings and Bridges in Baramulla. By such acts, this government cannot befool people. Its not name but what matters is performance," he said.
