JMC conducts adulteration drive, realizes fine of Rs 6200

Jammu, Dec 3: Continuing the drive against adulteration, the Health Officer Jammu Municipal Corporation, along with a team of Food Safety Officers, today conducted an extensive tour in the areas like, Gangyal, Trikuta Nagar, BC. Road, Jewel, and checked the quality of commonly used food items.
The team inspected various food establishments Halwai shops, Cut fruit shops / rehries, Ice cream units, etc. and compounding fee of Rs. 6200/- was also realized from defaulters and about 10 kg of polythene was seized.
Moreover 2 food samples of Suji Toasted were also lifted from different parts of Jammu city and sent to Food Analyst Jammu for ascertaining their standard of purity.
