| People protest against PDD | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 3: Residents of Ward No. 9,8,10 and 11 held a massive protest demonstration by blocking the Kathua Parliwand to Hatli Morh road against poor supply of electricity through frequent electricity cuts by the Power Development Department at Kathua here today.
The protest was led by the congress activists Pankaj Sharma which was joined by large number of protestors and raised the slogans against the PDD and district administration of Kathua. On the occasion while speaking to the media, Mr. Sharma alleged the PDD for being failed to provide the proper electricity supply to the residents. He said that the PDD supply the electricity in said wards just for two hours in a whole day with frequent cuts while charging the full electricity bills from the people of the wards. Protestors alleged the PDD those Industries which have been utilizing the electricity facility without paying the electricity charges but no action has been seen to take against them by the PDD so far, but the innocent people who are paying the electricity charges are forced to face the shortage of electricity facility. |
