| 65 staunch NC workers join Congress in presence of Saroori | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Pasarkote (Chatroo) Dec 3 : Exuding faith and confidence in Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, atleast 65 staunch workers of National Conference joined the Congress in presence of none other but their leader ideal Mr Saroori. Welcoming the new faces in party folds, in his welcome address MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori observed that people will have to consciously choose between time tested secular and democratic forces and those believing in division and disruption. "Congress has pioneered democracy and strengthened the bonds of amity and brotherhood during most testing times in the State, he said while addressing a huge public meeting at Pasarkote, tehsil Chatroo in Inderwal Constituency this evening. While urging the party workers to gird up their loins for the elections, Saroori said, "It is onus upon the party workers to pull up their socks to carry forward the policies and programmes to every nook of the State through mass campaigns.' He exhorted the new entrants to work for strengthening the party in their respective areas. Former minister and MLA Inderwal also claimed that Congress is all set to register a new record in the Assembly election scheduled next year. Among prominent who joined Congress today were Mansoor Ahmed Mattoo, Haji Ghulam Qadir Retired ZEO, Choudhary Bashir Ahmed and many others. |
