Early Times Report Srinagar, Dec 3: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and former Chairman Legislative Council, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura has accused the National Conference-led government in the state, of completely failing to provide jobs to the educated unemployed youth. In a statement, he said, although, the government has been claiming, over the last five years, of providing employment to the youth through various schemes, but practically it has done nothing of sorts, in this regard. "Even the much talked Sher-i-Kashmir Employment welfare Programme or so-called fast track recruitment process has miserably failed to achieve the desired results on the ground," Lone said. He castigated the NC of backtracking from the promises made to the people during assembly elections in 2008. The government has not been even able to provide basis amenities, like power, drinking water, ration and medical facilities, to the people. "The corruption has reached a new high in the state and every day scams and frauds in the government are coming into the public domain," the former chairman of the Legislative Council said, while addressing the party workers at Dolipora, Ropa Pora, Dadawapoora and Sogam in the Charar-e-Shareef constituency, and added the government has been only busy in re-employing the corrupt and deadwood in the administration. |
