| Prof Soz, MLA Niaz call on Rahul | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 4: Following invitation Vice President AICC Rahul Gandhi, the J&K State congress committee President Prof Saif-Ud-Din Soz and Mohd Sharief Niaz Dy CLP leader called on senior party leader to discuss overall review of economic and political scenario in J&K. AICC vice president asked party leaders and ministers to take step for implementation of Article 73rd Amendment in the state to empower the panachayat.
According spokesperson from New Delhi, Janardan Diwevedi General Secretary AICC, Ahmad Patel Political Secretary to the UPA chairperson Smt Sonia Gandhi, Smt Amibka Soni General Secretary AICC and Incharge J&K affairs, and Manul Haq Secretary AICC participated in the meeting.
The meeting lasted more than two hours last evening, in which participants discussed party affairs, relation with coalition partner in state.
Regarding the party in the J&K State Rahul Gandhi directed that from booth level to Pardesh Congress committee be re-constituted at an earliest, Maximum youth be adjusted in all committees, local party leader be consulted at the time of joining new people in the party.
He stressed the party leaders and ministers should take step for implementation of Article 73rd Amendment in the state in order to empower the panachayat, ensuing lok sabha election, assembly election were also discuss in the meeting. |
