Jammu, Dec 4: In a bizarre incident a youth was stabbed by his rivals here in Gandhi Nagar locality on Wednesday and assailants were overpowered by the passersby, police sources said.
According to sources, two motorcycle borne youth stabbed one Vijay Singh son of Fakir Singh of Shastri Nagar. 'However, the accused were overpowered by the passersby when they were in bid to to escape from the spot after committing the crime, sources said.
"Meanwhile after receiving the information, a police team from Police station Gandhinagar rushed to the spot and arrested the accused besides recovering weapon of offence from their possession, police sources said.
"The victim was rushed to the GMC hospital for treatment, they said, adding, " a property dispute is stated to be the reason behind the crime.' |
