| AVMJ, IAR demand abolition of existing reservation policy | | | early times report JAMMU, Dec 14:: Arakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu (AVMJ) and India Against Reservation (IAR) demanded abolition of the existing reservation policy based on caste and religion as these policies are affecting price rise and corruption as 50% people get subsidy and other benefits at the cost of 50% who pay heavy taxes to the government and demanded reservation must be provided to the needy and deserving through special support measures (SSM) by the government. Addressing a joint press conference Yash Paul Senson Spokesperson AVMJ and Sat Pal Sharma, President IAR demanded abolishing of all types of reservations. Senson observed that reservation was responsible for price rise , corruption as 50% people got subsidy and other benefits at the cost of 50% who are paying heavy taxes to the government and added reservation must be provided to the needy and deserving through special support measures (SSM) by the government. He said, "Moreover political reservation must be given to people living Below Povery Line (BPL) for their empowerment. Sat Paul Sharma said that both the organization fighting for the noble cause against reservation (caste Based) against scholarship (Caste based) in the state and informed that organizations are going to organize a protest against caste based reservation on Friday 24th Jan 2014 onwards outside Press Club Jammu. "We are going to drive donation and membership from 1st January 2014 door to door to make people aware and to join us, he said. He also underlined that said that caste based reservation had been a cause of discontentment and separation between different castes. "Govt must do efforts for the creation of casteless society, he added. Speakers hoped that time had come when all sections of society must understand the gimmick of political parties and play active positive role for the abolition of reservation.
