| Sharma conducts door to door campaign | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: Peoples Democratic Party leader and candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency Yash Pal Sharma today started door to door campaign in Prem Nagar area of Jammu East Assembly segment. Sharma, while interacting with cross sections of the society, sought mandate of the people to establish a new system in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that corruption has sneaked deep into the present system so there is need to strengthen PDP to eradicate the menace of corruption by establishing a new system in the state. He reminded the people that it was during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that accountability and transparency was established in the governance. He, however, regretted that during the last five years transparency and accountability has been disappeared from the system and corruption has been legalized. While interacting with the residents of Jammu East Assembly segment, Sharma reminded the people that various developmental projects were started during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for the beautification of the old city. He especially mentioned that parking slots were created in the old city to solve problem of traffic congestion in the city. |
