| MLC Sharma addresses meetings at Nowshera-Sunderbani | | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, Dec 26: Member Legislative Council Ravinder Sharma-General Secretary & Spokesperson JKPCC conducted two days tour of Nowshera-Sunderbani areas of Rajouri district & addressed series of public meetings and took stock of problems of people.
He also paid obeisance at Gurudwara Nonial Nowshera and also attended the function in connection with death anniversary of Sant Bawa Sunder Singh Ji.
On this occasion Mahant Manjit Singh Ji delivered the religious discourse and threw light on the life and preaching of Sant Sunder Singh Ji. Several other religious scholars also delivered religious lecture on the occasion.
Congress MLC in his address also threw light on the preachings of the Sant Bawa Sunder Singh Ji and emphasized the need to follow the path shown by the saints.
He assured the gathering that the demands of the minority community in the state especially in the area would receive due attention and they would get their due rights. Earlier he was presented the traditional 'Saropa' on the occasion.
Later he visited the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Nowshera to enquire into the condition of Neeraj Kumar who allegedly received injuries in police custody.
He also apprised the higher authorities of the Police to take stern action against the delinquent officials, under law. |
