| Patwaris to go on two days protest, mass casual leave | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association (AJKPA) today threatened to go on two days protest/ mass casual leave alleging ill treatment and harassment meted out to Patwaries and Girdawars at the hands of Regional Director Survey and Land Record (Ex-officio Settlement Officer, Jammu).
All Patwaries and Girdawars of Tehsil Jammu assembled in the complex of Deputy Commissioner Office, Jammu and expressed their solidarity against callous attitude of Regional Director Survey and Land Records (Ex office Settlement Officer) who is working with self style on the pretext of verifying the record in respect of non settlement issues.
They alleged that he called the Patwaries and Girdawars along with record to his office just to harass the officials by issuing attachment/suspension orders or by seizing the record.
All the protesters condemned the style of functioning of the officer and appealed higher authorities to monitor the functioning of the officer closely and intervene so that a void may not be created among the basic workers and officers which lead the association to launch another agitation. |
