| Sharma demands passage of Lokayukta Bill | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: Social activist and follower of Anna Hazare Om Parkash Sharma demanded to pass out Lokayukta Bill in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, who is sitting dharna on Dec 10 here at Jivan Nagar Chowk Digiana. According to press release, Om Parkash Sharma said that his health was not permitting him to sit on dharna in cold weather. Due to his deteriorating health condition his doctor has advised him to avoid severe cold weather, Annaji directed him to follow doctor's advice to lead the fight against corruption with more strength because it will take a long time. He further said that on the advice of doctor I postponed dharna for month but the oath I had taken on July 30 2013 that I would not take food until and unless the Jammu and Kashmir assembly passes out the Lokayukta Bill to eliminate the deep rooted corruption will continue. "With the consultation of executive body of Jantantar Morcha Anna Hazare movement against corruption Jammu and Kashmir Branch during this period I will start my Lok Sampark Abhiyan and meeting with likeminded social organizations, individuals up to the village level will be conducted to mobilize the masses about the Lokayukta Bill" said Sharma. |
