| JU's SC/ST Employees Association alleges injustice in promotions | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 26: The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association today held its meeting here under the chairmanship of Association President R L Kaith. Association members alleged that the injustice to SC/ST employees in the matter of reservation in promotions has been going on unchecked and all their complaints brought to the notice of the Registrar Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, have so far gone unheard without action to restrain the continuing injustice.
Members said that the staff responsible for tampering the reservation roster with an objective to deprive the SC/ST employees of their promotional benefits, is still there in the administration and despite their strong resistance has not so far been transferred from there. Members further stated that the alleged staff doesn't want SC/STs to rise to senior levels at an early age and as such, its conspired actions aim to harm their career at every opportunity. Members also said that same is the case with the staff of the accounts branch. The Association members appealed the Vice-Chancellor Prof. M.P.S. Ishar to intervene and ensure that there is no further injustice/harassment to SC/ST employees in any matter. |
